Ziyang Fan, Assistant General Counsel
Ziyang D. Fan joined the U.S. Trade and Development Agency in 2010, he currently serves as the Assistant General Counsel for East Asia, the agency's largest portfolio covering China and Mongolia.
Prior to joining USTDA, Mr. Fan was an associate in the Beijing office of Shearman & Sterling LLP, practicing in the area of international corporate law. His practice included the representation of U.S. and foreign companies, with an emphasis on U.S.-China cross-border transactions. Mr. Fan also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Brenda J. Hollar of the U.S. Virgin Islands Superior Court.
Mr. Fan received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. He received his J.D. from The George Washington University Law School. Mr. Fan is fluent in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese.
