Joshua Kaplan, Country Manager, Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Eurasia Region

Joshua Kaplan currently serves as the Country Manager responsible for the Middle East and Europe within the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Eurasia region at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). In this capacity, Mr. Kaplan is responsible for business development, project preparation and evaluation, and supervision of USTDA activities in over a dozen countries in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Eurasia region.

Before joining USTDA, Mr. Kaplan was an Investigator for the U.S. International Trade Commission responsible for conducting trade remedy investigations related to a variety of industries including automotive parts, plastics, and steel. Prior to his trade remedy work, Mr. Kaplan worked in a number of capacities in government and the private sector in fields such as export promotion, agricultural trade negotiation, and development finance.

Mr. Kaplan holds a Master's Degree in International Trade and Investment Policy from the Elliott School of the George Washington University. He earned a Bachelor's Degree from The University of Kansas where he majored in Business Administration with an emphasis in International Business.
