Peggy Philbin, Deputy Director

Peggy Philbin was appointed Deputy Director of the US Trade and Development Agency in September 2010.
Prior to joining USTDA, Ms. Philbin was the Executive Director of the Bureaus of Administration and Information Resources Management at the U.S. Department of State. As the Executive Director, Ms. Philbin served as the chief operating officer for two of the Department's largest and most complex bureaus. Prior to joining the Department of State, Ms. Philbin served in various capacities in the Department of Justice, most notably as Deputy Director of the Executive Office for Immigration Review ("EOIR"), the nation's immigration court system. She was the General Counsel of EOIR prior to her appointment as Deputy Director.
Prior to her federal service, Ms. Philbin practiced law in both New York and Florida and served as adjunct professor at several universities. She is a member of the New York and Florida Bar and has served on several public-private sector boards.
