Jon Wright, Chief of Staff
Jon Wright is Chief of Staff at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. In this role he serves as an adviser to Director Leocadia I. Zak and helps oversee USTDA's ongoing efforts to connect U.S. businesses to export opportunities in emerging markets.
Jon joined USTDA after working in Legislative and Intergovernmental Affairs for U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke. While working at Commerce, Jon managed Congressional oversight requests and inquiries and also served as senior leadership on the White House Business Council.
Prior to serving at Commerce, Jon worked on numerous political campaigns including President Obama's presidential campaign in several states, ultimately serving as Deputy Political Director in Florida for the 2008 general election.
Wright received a J.D. from Northern Kentucky University's Chase College of Law and a B.A. in Finance from Murray State University.
