India Air Traffic Management Training Program (ATMTP)

Dates: May 13-23, 2008

Location: Washington, DC; Atlantic City, NJ; Orlando, FL; Atlanta, GA

Sponsored by USTDA under the U.S.-India Aviation Cooperation Program (ACP), the program focuses on improving high-density air traffic management (ATM) operations at leading Indian airports as India’s aviation sector continues to manage rapid growth and modernization. The program includes an Orientation Visit to Washington, DC; Atlantic City, NJ; Orlando, FL; and Atlanta, GA, planned for May 2008, and led by senior officials of the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to demonstrate procedures, regulations and private-public cooperation for high density operations. It also includes an Operational Workshop in the U.S. in Summer 2008 for air traffic controllers. Specific dates and venues are TBD.
