China Cold Chain Orientation Visit

Dates: March 6-20, 2010

Locations: Washington, DC and Southern California

This Orientation Visit will bring twelve (12) cold storage facility owners to the U.S. to attend the International Institute of Ammonia Refrigeration (IIAR) 2010 Industrial Refrigeration Conference and Exhibition, March 14 – 17 in San Diego, as well as visit cold supply chain sites and meet with public and private sector experts on cold chain standards and practices. Exact dates are to be decided. The OV will familiarize Chinese cold storage facility owners with U.S. technologies and best practices for the development of an advanced cold supply chain infrastructure. The OV will encourage adoption of advanced technologies that can improve China’s cold supply chain, positively impacting the nation’s food security. The Contractor will be Koeppen, Elliott and Associates.
