Romania Nuclear Sector Reverse Trade Mission

Dates: September 6-16, 2010

Locations: Washington, DC; Limerick, PA; Cranberry, PA; Wilmington, NC; Augusta, GA; Atlanta, GA

This Reverse Trade Mission will familiarize Romanian delegates with U.S. nuclear technologies, modern plant management practices, and regulatory challenges associated with modern nuclear facilities. This visit is being conducted in conjunction with upcoming tenders for two new reactors at the existing nuclear plant in Cernavodă, and an additional planned nuclear power plant in Transylvania.

Delegates will include public and private sector representatives from the Romanian nuclear sector. The visit will include a Business Briefing at in Washington, DC. The visit will also feature meetings with U.S. industry and U.S. government agencies, as well as site visits to utilities in the following cities: Limerick, PA; Cranberry, PA; Wilmington, NC; Augusta, GA.
