Aviation Cooperation Initiative for Latin America and the Caribbean: Air Traffic Control and Navigation

Dates: October 19-29, 2010

Locations: Oklahoma, Tennessee and Washington, DC

The objective of the Aviation Cooperation Initiative is to familiarize key Latin American and Caribbean aviation sector officials and project sponsors with the latest advances in U.S. aviation industry technologies through a series of three Reverse Trade Missions(OVs) to the United States. This initiative will include meetings with U.S. industry, financial institutions, aviation associations and U.S. government agencies to exchange information with regard to commercial, technological, regulatory and financial issues confronting the aviation industry.

The third Reverse Trade Mission in this series is focusing on air traffic control and navigation. The delegation will participate in visits to FAA air traffic control facilities, training centers and airport facilities that showcase U.S. technologies in air traffic control and navigation. The delegation will also have the opportunity to participate in the Air Traffic Control Association’s annual conference in Washington, D.C.

USTDA is working with the American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE) to organize this series of OVs. For more information, please contact Joan Lowden of AAAE by e-mail at joan.lowden@aaae.org or by phone at 703-824-0500.
