Thailand Refurbished Medical Devices Reverse Trade Mission

Dates: October 24-November 1, 2010

Locations: Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; Washington, DC; and Tampa, FL

This Reverse Trade Mission is intended to introduce officials from the Thai Food and Drug Administration (ThaiFDA), Ministry of Public Health and hospitals under the jurisdiction of MoPH to U.S. regulations , technology options and quality control practices as they relate to the use of refurbished medical equipment. During the visit, the delegation will meet with U.S. experts who specialize in testing and manufacturing refurbished medical devices. This mission will assist the ThaiFDA as it seeks to revise their country’s legislation to permit the import of refurbished medical equipment.
