The goal of the Earthquake Monitoring Technologies Initiative is to familiarize senior Latin American and Caribbean officials and project sponsors with U.S. technologies and best practices with respect to earthquake monitoring and communications systems through three separate visits to the United States, organized by sub-region: the Caribbean, South America, and Mexico and Central America. Each visit schedule will include meetings with U.S. industry, financial institutions, and U.S. government agencies to exchange information with regard to the commercial, technological, regulatory, and financial aspects associated with earthquake monitoring and communications systems.
