Thailand Rail Sector Modernization Reverse Trade Mission

Dates: June 17-27, 2012

Locations: Washington, D.C.; Erie and Grove City, PA; Lafayette and Muncie, IN; and Chicago, IL

This Reverse Trade Mission will bring a delegation of officials representing Thailand's rail sector. The delegation will be led by the Deputy Permanent Secretary of Transportation and will consist of other representatives from the Ministry of Transport, the State Railway of Thailand, the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy Planning, the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the National Economic Social Development Bureau. The delegation will visit the United States to gain exposure to U.S rail technologies and services providers through visits to U.S. facilities and meetings with U.S. companies. In particular, the delegation is interested in learning more about U.S. capabilities in areas such as locomotives and rolling stock, signaling/telecommunications/information technology systems and track maintenance machinery.

A Business Briefing will be held in Chicago on June 25, 2012.
