U.S.-Egypt Information and Communication Technology Workshop
Partnering for Regional Trade and Economic Growth
USTDA is sponsoring an Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) workshop to promote partnerships between U.S. and Egyptian stakeholders and highlight ICT opportunities in Egypt and throughout the Middle East, Persian Gulf and Africa. The workshop will focus on building business networks, accessing the substantial financial resources available for use in ICT projects, and utilizing the unique attributes of Egypt as a means to access the greater MENA region. Panel discussions and break-out sessions will cover such areas as: e-government, e-health, e-education, intelligent logistics systems, cloud computing, and national broadband development.
The U.S. Egypt - ICT Workshop is one of four Egypt: Forward technical workshops to take place in Cairo, beginning in Fall 2012. Future workshops will focus on energy, transportation, and agribusiness sectors. The workshop series is a continuation of the Egypt: Forward Initiative, which USTDA launched in collaboration with the Departments of Commerce and State last June.
