Sub-Saharan Africa Light Aircraft and Helicopter Reverse Trade Mission
Dates: October 13-October 25, 2013
Locations: Washington, DC; Wichita, KS; Las Vegas, NV; Forth Worth and Garland, TX
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is sponsoring a Sub-Saharan Africa Light Aircraft and Helicopter Reverse Trade Mission (RTM), to introduce delegates from across sub-Saharan Africa to U.S. technology and industry best practices in the aviation sector. Delegates from private sector aviation companies in sub-Saharan Africa will participate in site-visits where they will meet with U.S. industry experts and suppliers of light aircraft and helicopters.
Africa's aviation sector is the second fastest growing in the world, with growth expected to continue above the global average through 2030. To meet this growing demand, Boeing projects that Africa's aircraft fleet will need to double in the next 20 years, with additions of up to 900 new aircraft at a value of $120 billion. This growth is occurring in both the commercial and general aviation markets.
Koeppen, Elliott & Associates, Ltd is organizing the RTM on behalf of USTDA. For more information on the event, please contact Program Manager, David Elliott, by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 202-429-5245.
