ARLINGTON, VA (April 9, 2010) – Today, Ms. Leocadia I. Zak was formally sworn-in as the Director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. Ambassador Susan Rice, U.S. Permanent Representative to the United Nations presided. Director Zak was nominated by President Barack Obama on November 16, 2009 and was confirmed by the United States Senate on March 10, 2010. Director Zak assumed her duties several weeks ago after taking the oath of office in a brief ceremony before USTDA staff. | Full Story

(February 24, 2010) – In celebration of Black History Month, the U.S. Trade and Development Agency hosted the Duke Ellington School for the Arts Show Choir at its headquarters in Arlington, Virginia. Just one day after the Choir performed at the White House for President Obama, they shared songs of inspiration and celebration with USTDA and guests from around the U.S. Government to commemorate the contributions of African-Americans to the rich history of the United States. | Full Story
