USTDA Directors Reflect on 20th Anniversary

ARLINGTON, Va. --In a recent video, U.S. Trade and Development Agency directors, both past and present, reflect on the Agency's success over the past 20 years. USTDA was established as a U.S. Government Agency on October 28, 1992 under the Jobs Through Exports Act. Since 1992, USTDA has been carrying out the same mission: helping to create U.S. jobs through the promoting the export of U.S. goods and services in emerging economies. Watch the video

USTDA and U.S. DOT Support the Development of China's Railways and Ports

Hangzhou, China – On Nov. 30, 2012, U.S. USTDA Director Leocadia I. Zak joined U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Assistant Secretary Susan Kurland to announce two activities designed to support China's efforts to develop its rail and port sectors.

USTDA Partners with Ex-Im Bank and OPIC to Open Clean Energy Development and Finance Center in South Africa

Johannesburg, South Africa – Acting Secretary of Commerce Rebecca Blank announced the establishment of the U.S.-Africa Clean Energy Development and Finance Center (Center) at a luncheon event co-hosted by Business Unity South Africa and the Corporate Council on Africa. The Center is an initiative by the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC) and the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) to provide a coordinated approach to clean energy project development in sub-Saharan Africa.

Upcoming Events

December 06, 2012 : U.S. Department of Commerce Webinar - USTDA's Assistant Director for Policy and Program, Andrea Lupo, will be featured in this Thursday's webinar on Export Finance for Renewable Energy Technologies. The webinar begins at 2:00pm EST and costs $35 to participate. Click here for more information.

December 11, 2012 : Business Briefing - U.S. companies will have the opportunity to meet with Ukranian public and private power generation officials to learn about export opportunities in the country's energy sector. The briefing will be held in Orlando, FL during the POWER-GEN conferences. Interested companies will first need to register for the conference in order to take part in the busines briefing.

December 12, 2012 : Business Roundtable - U.S. healthcare companies will have the chance to meet with a delegation of health executives from the Chinese Ministry of Health and seven provincial health bureaus in China. USTDA Director Leocadia I. Zak will host this roundtable event, which is designed to introduce the Chinese delegation to leading U.S. healthcare solutions to meet the needs of China's growing healthcare market.
