Ms. Enoh T. Ebong Named General Counsel of
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency

ARLINGTON, VA -- The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) announced the selection of Enoh T. Ebong as the Agency's General Counsel Feb. 25, 2013. Ms. Ebong joined USTDA in 2004 as an Assistant General Counsel and since that time has served as Acting Regional Director for sub-Saharan Africa and most recently as Deputy General Counsel.

 

Prior to joining USTDA, Ms. Ebong was an attorney in the Boston office of Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky and Popeo, P.C. practicing in the area of business and finance. Her practice included the representation of public and private companies, with an emphasis on financing transactions for both start-ups and established companies; mergers and acquisitions; and corporate governance issues.

Ms. Ebong received her undergraduate degree from the University of Edinburgh, and her Master of Arts in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.

March 16-27, 2013 : USTDA is sponsoring a Reverse Trade Mission (RTM) to the United States for a delegation of Romanian government and private sector organizations in the oil and gas sector responsible for developing energy resources in Romania. Technical Study and Environmental Impact Assessment of the Latvian Section of the European Gauge Railway Line Rail Baltica

The Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Latvia, has announced a tender to procure a supplier to provide a detailed technical study to determine the precise location of the new European
standard gauge railway line Rail Baltica in the territory of the Republic of Latvia. The purpose of this study is to determine precise location of the connections of the new railway line to include the Port of Riga and the Riga International Airport. Necessary research and preparatory work have to be performed in a way to assure the start of the construction process before 2020.

Tenders must be submitted by March 21, 2013 at 11:00 AM. to the Administrative
Department of the Ministry of Transport, Room No. 303, Gogoļa Street 3, Riga, LV‐1743, by submitting them in person or by post.

Since 1988, the Maryland Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) Network has provided advice, counseling and support to entrepreneurs and small to mid-size businesses across the state. The Network, a partnership between the U.S. Small Business Administration and the University of Maryland College Park, links private enterprise, government, higher education and local economic development organizations to provide management, training and technical assistance to Maryland’s small businesses. 2013 SBA-VISA Export Video Contest

The U.S. Small Business Administration and Visa U.S.A. are cosponsoring a video contest that seeks to inform small businesses about the advantages of exporting and increase awareness of government assistance available to support small business exporters. They are looking for creative videos from small businesses that show how they became successful exporters. Videos must highlight the small business’ best accounting practices that help ensure prompt payments from customers and at least one of the following: important lessons learned; factors that influenced the decision to become an exporter; advice for small businesses considering exporting; or a favorite exporting story.
