USTDA Supports Expansion of Energy Resources in India

MUMBAI, INDIA – USTDA concluded two grant agreements in Mumbai on May 3, 2013, to assist in improving power sector efficiency and developing shale gas and oil in India.

USTDA Awards Grant to Support Information Technology and Smart Grid Development in Vietnam

ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – USTDA awarded a grant April 26, 2013 to the National Power Transmission Corporation (EVNNPT) of Vietnam to support its efforts to improve transmission efficiencies to meet increasing power generation capacity and demand. The USTDA grant is supporting a technical assistance program that will assist NPT modernize its legacy information technology (IT) systems in order to more efficiently manage its transmission infrastructure. Upcoming Events

May 21-22, 2013 : U.S. - Southern Africa Solar Workshop- Johannesburg, South Africa - This event will highlight regional solar projects and initiatives, U.S. solar technologies, and the regulatory frameworks, standards, and financing mechanisms available to support them. The event will feature high-level participation from key stakeholders from the South Africa, Namibia and Botswana electric power sectors. Representatives from U.S. companies providing equipment and services and funding to solar industry will attend to learn about upcoming opportunities in the region and connect with senior decision makers.

 

June 4-6, 2013 : Sino - U.S. Maritime Oil Spill and Emergency Response Management Seminar and Expo - Qingdao, China - U.S. companies will have the opportunity to meet with officials from China's Ministry of Transportation and regional bureaus to learn about export opportunities in the country's Transportation Safety & Disaster Rescue Coordination sector. Two briefings will be held in New York and Los Angeles.
