USTDA Concludes Participation in U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue

NEW DELHI, INDIA – USTDA Director Leocadia I. Zak participated in the U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue in New Delhi, India. During the Strategic Dialogue, USTDA highlighted the breadth of its engagement in the Indian market and the tangible outcomes that are being achieved -- from expanding economic development in India to increasing exports of goods and services from the United States to meet India's needs. New Online Tool Allows U.S. Firms to Determine Their Eligibility to Submit Sole-Source Proposals to USTDA

USTDA has recently launched an online tool that allows U.S. companies to determine whether or not they are eligible to submit a sole-source project proposal to USTDA. U.S. firms that are selected by overseas project sponsors to perform work under sole-source USTDA grants are expected to submit a separate, detailed project proposal to USTDA, and typically share the cost of the work with the Agency and participate in a success fee program. The new online tool and eligibility checklist applies to sole-source grants. Visit the project proposal web page

August 12-19, 2013 : Asia-Pacific Flight Standards Reverse Trade Mission - Washington, D.C.; Seattle, WA - USTDA is sponsoring a reverse trade mission (RTM) to the United States for civil aviation and national airline officials from the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam. During the RTM, the delegation will attend the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA's) Asia-Pacific Flight Standards meeting in Washington, DC, from August 13-15, 2013, and will also have meetings with U.S. aviation industry firms for the rest of the RTM. The RTM will have a focus on aviation safety, flight standards, and other areas of civil aviation development in the fast growing markets of Southeast Asia.


August 18-28, 2013 : Sub-Saharan Africa Agribusiness Reverse Trade Mission - Omaha, NE; Fargo, ND; Jackson, MN; Ames, IA - USTDA is sponsoring a Reverse Trade Mission (RTM) to the United States for a delegation of senior representatives from sub-Saharan Africa's agribusiness sector, including key decision makers from leading agribusinesses and government entities in Kenya, South Africa, Botswana, Nigeria, Zambia, and other markets.


August 18-30, 2013 : Brazil Broadband Technologies Reverse Trade Mission - San Jose, CA; Washington, DC; Kansas City, MO and Chattanooga, TN - The objective of the visit is to familiarize Brazilian government and private sector representatives with the latest U.S. broadband network technologies, regulations, and best practices. The delegates will participate in meetings with related U.S. government, private entities and financial entities.
