Potential Export Opportunities May Exist Following USTDA ICT Water Supply Project in Ho Chi Minh City

ARLINGTON, VA – USTDA is supporting a technical assistance project in Vietnam that aims to improve the Saigon Water Corporation’s (SAWACO) Information Communication & Technology (ICT) systems in order to enhance management and operational efficiency in Ho Chi Minh City’s water supply system.  The project, which complements ongoing investments being made through the Asian Development Bank’s Water Sector Investment Program, will help SAWACO develop a more robust strategic ICT implementation plan.  Following project implementation, there will likely be export opportunities for U.S. companies that supply Enterprise Resource Planning systems, computers, laboratory and scientific equipment; Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and services; Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems for water distribution efficiency; and/or ICT services and training.
