Country Manager, Sub-Saharan Africa
Brandon Megorden currently serves as the Country Manager for East and Central Africa at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). In this capacity, he is responsible for business development, project preparation and evaluation, and supervision of USTDA activities in the region, including USTDA’s multi-country reverse trade missions. He is also a member of the agency's Renewable Energy Sector Team.
Prior to joining the Sub-Saharan Africa team, Mr. Megorden was a Project Analyst in the East Asia region at USTDA. He has also worked as a trade assistant at the U.S. Commercial Service Export Assistance Center in Boise, Idaho where he coordinated export outreach and education programs for U.S. companies. Mr. Megorden has lived and work in Asia for over four years, most recently serving as a senior editor for the Beijing Olympic Committee.
Mr. Megorden holds a Graduate Certificate in Chinese and American Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, a Graduate Certificate in Mandarin Chinese from Tsinghua University, and a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Idaho in International Political Economy.
