Country Manager, Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey
Ms. Eliza Chon currently serves as the Country Manager for the Middle East, North Africa region, as well as Turkey at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). In this capacity, she is responsible for developing and implementing USTDA’s economic development program throughout the Middle East, North Africa and in Turkey. Prior to joining USTDA, Ms. Chon served as a Project Manager at a private U.S. engineering/construction company working in international development and emerging markets. She also worked at the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), a U.S. Government international development agency, managing the Francophone Africa portfolio.
Ms. Chon holds a Master's degree in Economic and Political Development from the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University. She received a Bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire (UNH), graduating with honors in French and International Relations.
