The U.S. Trade and Development Agency is sponsoring a Indonesia 5G and Digital Connectivity Virtual Workshop June 29-30, 2022. This workshop will convene public and private sector leaders from Indonesia and the United States to identify technologies and solutions that can accelerate 5G deployment and increase digital connectivity in Indonesia. Participants will hear about case studies highlighting best practices in Radio Access Network (RAN) and 5G deployment; emerging use cases for 5G applications in vertical domains; enabling regulatory and legal frameworks; as well as cost and policy considerations for Open RAN (O-RAN) development.
The telecommunications sector in Indonesia has experienced massive growth, providing the impetus for the country’s transition towards an advanced, knowledge-based society. The Government of Indonesia has taken significant steps to accelerate 5G roll out, including new provisions for 5G infrastructure development and open partnership opportunities with the private sector. This timely workshop will help to facilitate greater interaction between key decisionmakers from Indonesia with U.S. technology suppliers and sector experts.
