The visit will familiarize Brazilian delegates with U.S. cybersecurity and physical security technologies, as well as best practices applicable to the electricity sector. Delegates will include representatives of Brazilian power utilities, federal regulatory and standards-setting bodies, and the Brazilian system and market operators.
The Reverse Trade Mission will include a Business Briefing in Silicon Valley on Tuesday, March 24, 2015, where U.S. company representatives will learn about upcoming opportunities in Brazil and have individual meetings with the senior level delegates. This visit is part of a series of Reverse Trade Missions on Cybersecurity and Access Control for Utilities in Latin America. The first visit in the series was held in November 2014, and included representatives of Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Peru. The final visit in the series is scheduled to occur in April 2015, for a delegation from Mexico and Panama.
