Arlington, VA – The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) will bring a delegation of port and maritime leaders from Indonesia to the United States to build partnerships in support of modernizing Indonesia’s port sector, helping to strengthen critical supply chains and improve maritime security.

While in the United States from August 1 to 14, the 18-member delegation of government and industry decision makers will travel to Washington, DC; Houston, TX; and Los Angeles, CA. There, delegates will meet with U.S. companies and see demonstrations of cutting-edge U.S. technologies that can modernize port infrastructure, digitalize supply chains, enhance maritime logistics, and integrate ports with industrial zones. Delegates will also tour the Ports of Baltimore, Houston, and Los Angeles to see U.S. technologies in practice and meet with port officials and organizations.  

USTDA will host a public business briefing in Washington on August 4, where U.S. companies can hear directly from the delegation about upcoming commercial prospects and engage one-on-one with delegates to showcase their port modernization technologies, services, and solutions. As growing trade volumes put pressure on its port infrastructure, Indonesia is seeking port modernization technologies to improve operational efficiency and strengthen supply chain resilience, transforming the sector into a globally integrated, efficient and modern maritime hub. As Indonesian leaders plan short- and long-term investments in this sector, the U.S. private sector is well positioned to provide trusted solutions for automation and digitalization, including cybersecurity solutions.
