Because of the varying and long-term nature of USTDA's activities, the Agency employs independent evaluators to collect and verify data on program performance. These outside evaluation teams annually review hundreds of individual activities to assess the outcomes of USTDA's funding commitments. The companies identify U.S. exports and host country development benefits resulting from USTDA projects as well as recommend how to strengthen the Agency's evaluation processes, methodologies, and measurements. These services help the Office of Program Monitoring and Evaluation obtain information for qualitative and quantitative analysis to determine whether and how USTDA's funding is achieving its mission. This rigorous review supports innovative program management and data-informed decision making, enabling the Agency to effectively leverage its funding resources to deliver tangible results to all of its stakeholders.
