Country Manager, Latin America and the Caribbean

Anna Coby is a Country Manager on the Latin America and Caribbean regional team at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). In this capacity, she is responsible for business development, project preparation and evaluation, and supervision of USTDA’s activities in Mexico and Central America.

Before joining USTDA, Ms. Coby worked as a program manager at the Americas Society/Council of the Americas (AS/COA). During her time at AS/COA, Ms. Coby supported key programs and initiatives including managing AS/COA’s trade working group, and was the key coordinator of sponsorship, speakers, and agenda development for the Washington Conference on the Americas. Prior to her work at AS/COA, she interned at the Department of State’s Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs and the Sao Paulo Federation of Industries in Brazil.

Ms. Coby holds an M.A. in Latin American Studies from Georgetown’s School of Foreign Service with a concentration in Political Economy and a B.A. in Romance Languages and Latin American Studies from University of Oregon.  Her international experience includes a two-year teaching fellowship in Spain and she studied in Brazil, Ecuador, and Italy. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese.
