Kiana Hamilton is a Manager for Global Programs at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. In this role, she is responsible for the implementation of the Agency’s Global Procurement Initiative: Understanding Best Value (GPI) in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe.
Before joining USTDA, Hamilton worked with small businesses, municipal governments and lenders throughout Virginia as an Economic Development Specialist with the U.S. Small Business Administration. She also served in the Peace Corps as a Business Development Volunteer in Senegal, West Africa where she supervised business development camps and started a waste management business. Prior to her Peace Corps service, Hamilton analyzed commercial real estate projects and economic data as a Research Analyst and Economist at NPV Advisors and ICF International in Southern California.
Hamilton earned an MA in Economics with an emphasis in International Trade and Development at Claremont Graduate University and a BA in Economics at University of California, Irvine. She is proficient in Spanish and Wolof.
