Program Evaluation Manager
Miguel currently serves as Program Evaluation Manager and covers Eurasia, Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Middle East, North Africa, and the Global Procurement Initiative. He is also a member of USTDA’s cybersecurity sector team, which monitors related industry and trade policy developments.
Before joining USTDA, Miguel served as Senior Evaluation Officer at the FMO Entrepreneurial Development Bank (The Netherlands) where he led or contributed to evaluations, economic studies, and strategies for investments and advisory services in renewable energy, agribusiness, and financial institutions in Africa and Latin America.
Earlier, Miguel worked at the International Finance Corporation for about 10 years in a variety of roles such as Senior Results Measurement Specialist, Development Impact; Senior Strategy Officer for Central Asia, Brazil, Peru; and Senior Investment Officer for PPP & Corporate-Finance Advisory Services. Miguel was also at the World Bank where he served as Senior Evaluation Officer in the Independent Evaluation Group.
Prior to his work at the World Bank Group, Miguel was a Private Equity Investment Manager & Board Director in Investee Companies for Skanska, focused on privately financed infrastructure in the Americas.
Miguel holds a Diploma in Public Policy and Program Evaluation from Carleton University (Canada), a Master of Science in Finance from The George Washington University, a Master of Business Administration from an exchange program IESE (Spain)/London Business Schools (UK), and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina).
